Description: Slide 36: one of a collection of lantern slides shown at Clondalkin branch library c 1910. Description given in booklet: The brook Kedron runs along the bed of the Valley of Jehoshaphat and falls into the Dead Sea near the Convent of Santa Saba which we shall see further on. The true bed of the river has been found by the Palestine Exploration Fund to be nearly 60 feet under the present one, the raising of the level being caused by the repeated destructions and re-buildings the Holy City has sustained.
