Various councillors speak in turn querying the necessity of the Committee. Committee should be in the public eye and have transparency. Concern about lack of Public Representatives on proposed comittee. / EU Funding / Chamber of Commerce representation / Cathaoirleach suggests five representatives from each council be on committee / Councillor asks if minutes could be circulated in the absence of this representation. / Motion proposed to be amended to mention Regional authority attendance, motion is defeated. Long discussion ensues about the powers to be vested in the new committee and its powers.en_IE
