Description: A photo of the Clondalkin Paper Mill in production c.1940 with smoke belching from the stack. Established in the 19th century by Thomas Seery & Son to take advantage of the Camac River's clean waters, it had a number of owners and prospered especially during World War One. It closed in 1922 and reopened in 1936 and continued until its final closure in 1987.
