Original photo postcard showing a view of Esker House in Lucan. Postcard was sent to an address in Surrey, England. On the reverse is two 1/2d stamps with Lucan postmarks. Esker House, also known as Esker Villa formerly stood where Lucan Leisure Centre in Griffeen Valley Park now stands. The card is inscribed on the back by Ethel Bellany, a member of the family who owned the house for generations. David Bellany is listed as a landowner in Esker as far back as 1858. This image is believed to be the only image of the structure before its demolition in the late 1970s.en_IE
