Description: Slide 25: one of a collection of lantern slides shown at Clondalkin branch library c 1910. Description given in booklet: The Tomb of the Virgin is reached by a descent of 60 steps, and consequently lies almost entirely under the level of the ground. On the right of the descent are shown the chapels and tombs of Joachim and Anna, and on the left that of Joseph, while in the east of the church is the supposed tomb of the Virgin bearing a general resemblance to the Holy Sepulchre, and probably modeled after its pattern.
