Slide 59: one of a collection of lantern slides shown at Clondalkin branch library c 1910. Description given in booklet: Riding around the western shoulder of Little Hermon we come to Nain. Nain is a mud village with considerable ancient ruins. It was here that our Lord raised the widow’s son to life. From the village we look down on the high road to Nazareth, along which we are to follow. It was on that road that Our Lord met the funeral procession on His way from Capernaum to Nazareth, and where, taking pity on the widowed mother. He said: “Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.”en_IE
