Description: | Letter from Commander in Chief to Archbishop Byrne dated 13th March 1923. Also a prisoner's letter. The C In C complains of a Fr. John M. Costello of Ss Michael and John Church whose letter to a prisoner Brian (no surname) at Tintown, Curragh Camp was intercepted. In the letter the Clergyman makes some anti-Treaty statements. "The Honour of Ireland will not be washed clean till a few of these Free State Government members are set dancing on air... The Hour is Coming... With God's Help they will not succeed". |
