dc.descriptionLooseleaf page with two newspaper excerpts with an obituary notice for Col. Gerald Basset Scott, from 4th September, 1964. Transcription heading, written in fountain pen, reads "Daily Telegraph, 4th September, 1964". The two small cut and pasted obituary notices read: "Scott.- On Sept. 1st, peacefully, in Victoria B.C., Col. GERALD BASSETT SCOTT, C.B, D.S.O. (Indian Army, Retd.). fourth son of Lt. Col. Hopton B. Scott and Mrs. Scott, Shankill, Co. Dublin." The second transcription reads "Col. Gerald Bassett Scott. At Victoria, British Columbia, aged 89. Entered Indian Army, 1896, served N.W. Frontier 1901-2 and 1930-31; 1914-18 war, D.S.O. 1915. Retired 1931.
