Description: Interior leaves of an untitled, unlined, black leather bound notebook, with lined gilt edging surround on front cover. The handwritten entry on the verso and recto of the pages continues the description of the genealogy and history of the Scott family, mentioning Sir William Scott, Knight, Henry VI of England, and Sir William's wives; Joan de Orlastone and Isabel Herbert Finch, and the only surviving son, Sir John Scott and the grant of Chilham Castle to him for services to the King. The handwritten text in the notebook as a whole contains various ink-pen entries from a number of hands,covering the origin of the Scott family, the genealogy and heraldry associated with the family, along with some genealogical notes and questions, and letters in full on the same subjects.
