Description: | Detached three-bay single-storey former school house, c.1850, now in use as a private house. Roughcast rendered walls with a smooth rendered base course. uPVC casement windows. Projecting flat-roofed porch to front. Hipped slate roof with central chimney stack. Extension to rere with pitched slate roof. Low rendered rubble stone wall to street front. This charming, modest former school house is a valuable element of this historic village road, adding visual diversity to the group in its retention of its original form. Also an important constituent of the larger school complex. |
