dc.description | Enclosed graveyard, c. 1720, containing ruins of former church, c.1600, comprising west gable with bellcote and chancel arch in section of wall. Segmental archway to entrance with crenellated parapet and wrought-iron gate, set in rubble stone boundary wall. Graveyard contains collection of headstones and tombs dating from the early eighteenth century onwards and still in use.This site has a rich history, having changed from Roman Catholic to Church of Ireland in the eighteenth century. Contains medieval fabric and a number of finely carved gravestones, including those of the Shaw and Yelverton families | en_IE |
