Description: | DSC_2387-DSC_2392: Ashfield House was originally home for Anglican clergy. Early in the nineteenth century it became the home of Sir William Cusack Smith, Baron of the Exchequer. Next, it was home to the Tottenham family from 1841 to 1913. After that it was occupied by the Brooks of Brooks Thomas Ltd. More recently the land around was sold for development and a road was built alongside called Brookvale after the last occupants. |
