dc.descriptionRathfarnham Church of Ireland was opened in 1795 replacing the old medieval church of SS Peter and Paul. The decision was taken in around 1780 to built a new church, a foundation stone was laid five years later, and the new church was consecrated in 1795. A series of additions were made. First, a porch, tower and vestry in 1821. Next in 1852 a transept was added to the north side together with a gallery. A transept to the south was provided in 1889 to house the organ and choir. In 2001, the Millenium Side Chapel was added.en_IE
