|This reservoir is the upper of two reservoirs serving the Rathmines public water supply and the Ballyboden water treatment works, c.1883. Turf covered stone dam, stone lined reservoir, stone valve building approached via steel lattice bridge, artificial waterways, cascaded spillway with footbridges over, water tunnels, lodges and other related engineered works.
