Description: Oral history interview. Stanley Lang, Age 78, Terenure. Subject: A paint salesman's story. Stanley Laing is a former councillor for South Dublin County Council, who retired in 2008. He is originally from Ballyconnell, in Northern Ireland, and spent most of his youth in Mullingar, where he was brought up by his aunt and uncle. He began his working life as a paint representative for Berger's Paints during the 1950s, and travelled to all twenty six counties. Later he became involved in the retail side of the business. He talks about the changes in the paint industry, and goes on to describe the eight years of his life in politics. The length of this recording is forty nine minutes and fifty nine seconds.
