dc.descriptionEamonn Ceannt's Memoriam card. One of the seven signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic. He was made commandant of the 4th Battalion of the Volunteers, and during the Rising was stationed at the South Dublin Union and the Marrowbone Lane Distillery, with more than 100 men under his command. He was executed on the 8th of May 1916en_IE
