| Description: | Handwritten Letter by Seán McDermott, on 'Nationality' headed paper, requesting Mrs. Callender, (owner of the Lucan Restaurant at 2 Sarsfield Quay), to deliver food to Arbour Hill prison. The person to whom the food was to be delivered was Alexander McCabe, later one of the members of the first Dáil. Also mentioned in the letter are James Whelan, and Volunteers Hegarty and Bulger. The letter has been stored at the back of a contemporary picture of a small girl which is also reproduced here. |
