dc.description1916 Veterans’ armband in Irish Poplin, by Bergin’s. The 1916 armband was awarded to veterans of the 1916 Rebellion. It was presented at a ceremony held at the Rotunda Rink in Dublin, on Sunday the 21st of April 1935 to mark the 19th Anniversary of the Rebellion. It was subsequently worn by veterans, with civilian attire, on ceremonial occasions until January 1941 when it was replaced by the 1916 medal. Both were occasionally worn together.en_IE
