Description: The British and Irish Steam Packet Company which operated passenger ferry services across the Irish Sea between 1836 and 1992 was more commonly known as the B&I Line. It had built two ships named MV Leinster and MV Munster in 1937, the former being sold to the Belfast SS Company after the war and the latter was lost in 1940. In 1948 the B & I line built two new replacement sister ships named the MV Leinster and the MV Munster, both of which were passenger ships. This is the official B & I Line photo for MV Munster. With the advent of roll-on roll-off car ferries, both ships became outdated and were eventually sold during 1968/69 to Greek owners.
