| Description: | Improvised armoured car in front of the Granville Hotel on Sackville St. during the 1916 Rising. The vehicle comprised of a locomotive boiler on the back of a flatbed truck. These were built by the Great Southern and Western Railway Works in Inchicore by order of the British Military and had a single line of openings on either side through which a rifle could be aimed. The "holes" above and below the middle row were dummy apertures painted on to confuse snipers.
