Cur Síos:	Letter from General Maxwell Chief of British Army in Ireland, to Archbishop William Walsh requesting information about clergy who acted with particular "gallantry or devotion". The Archbishop replies with a polite refusal, simply mentioning the Pro Cathedral Clergy and the Capuchin Order. Also in the exchange is a letter of protest from a Miss Wheeler Ryan of Hoylake in Cheshire who bemoans the Archbishop's "misplaced and ill-timed condescension in replying to the letter of Maxwell the Scotch butcher".
