Cur Síos: Slide 38: one of a collection of lantern slides shown at Clondalkin branch library c 1910. Description given in booklet: The Tombs of the Judges are about a mile north-west of those of the kings. The vestibule in front is ornamented with an entirely different pattern from those of the kings. The door leads into a room about 20 feet square, and off this are seven graves or loculi, and in one corner a flight of steps leads into a small dome-shaped vestibule, off which there is still another passage and room. In some respects this is a more remarkable catacomb than that of the kings and the arrangement is more varied and complicated, but why it has got the name Tomb of the .Judges has not been yet satisfactorily explained.
