Text reads: IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARCUS BERESFORD MAUDE M.C. | LIEUT. 4TH ROYAL FUSILIERS ELDEST SON OF ANTHONY F. MAUDE | OF BELGARD CASTLE IN THIS PARISH AND EMILY HIS WIFE | BORN 21ST MARCH 1896. SERVED WITH DISTINCTION THROUGH | THE GREAT WAR AND WAS AWARDED THE M.C. AND MADE BREVET | CAPTAIN FOR GALLANTRY ON THE BATTLEFIELD. DIED ON ACTIVE | SERVICE AT KIRKUK, MESOPOTAMIA ON 24TH JAN. 1921 IN HIS | 25TH YEAR. AND OF | MAURICE ANTHONY MAUDE | LIEUT. ROYAL NAVY H.M.S. VINDICTIVE SECOND SON OF ANTHONT F. MAUDE | BORN 15TH JUNE 1900 WHO JOINED H.M.S. IRON DUKE AT THE AGE | OF 16. SERVED THROUGH THE GREAT WAR AND DIED AT KOWLOON | CHINA WHEN IN COMMAND OF A NAVAL AIR FLIGHT AT HONG KONG | ON 11TH DEC 1926 IN HIS 27TH YEAR. | "THEY SHALL BE MINE SAITH THE LORD, | IN THE DAY WHEN I MAKE UP MY JEWELS".
