Description: Very rare handwritten first hand account, by a member of the Dublin Irish Volunteer Training Corps (known as the "Gorgeous Wrecks" because of their red Georgius Rex armbands) of their activities at the Battle of Mount Street. They were fired upon by Irish Volunteers in the mistaken belief they were armed. In fact their rifles were not loaded.
