Cur Síos: Seven RAF personnel attempting to right an upended biplane with a rope at Tallaght Aerodrome with hangar visible in background. Tallaght Aerodrome was notorious for suffering from wind shear from the Dublin Mountains. This sometimes resulted in planes being blown over. Image from a photo album compiled by Capt. Norman H Dimmock of the Royal Flying Corps. In March 1919 he was second-in-command of No. 141 Squadron RAF, when they moved from Biggin Hill to Tallaght, He was demobbed soon after, but rejoined the RAF in 1920 and was posted back to Ireland, with No. 100 Squadron at Baldonnel. His flying days were ended by a serious crash at Castlebar
