William (Billy) Barrett
Letters from the front
Issue Date: 1916
Description: Series of letters to and from William Barret (Billy Barrett) of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers written by him to his mother and brother from the front. Also transcriptions of later letters from Billy's comrades and official organisations. These show ongoing confusion as to whether Billy was killed in action, or wounded and taken to a military hospital.
