Description: Bernie Fagan, age 53, runs a Training Centre in Tallaght for the Travelling Community. In this recording, Bernie talks about the travellers’ traditions, customs, beliefs, roots and education. Eileen Connors (age 49) talks about Tallaght Village as it was over 30 years ago and about the travellers’ existence, as they moved in long convoys around the country. She discusses music and pastimes. The other members of the group, Biddie Doran (38), Mary Cunningham (28) and Helen Connors (23), speak about their lives and experiences in the travelling community.
