Cur Síos: Monolithic square-section rough dressed granite cross, erected in 1868, approximately 3 metres high, 30 centimetres in section. Equal armed cross head, worn incised date to east face. Irregularly shaped granite sub-rectangular base. Appraisal This simple, robust cross is a memorial to the end of cattle fever, and was a landmark for celebrations and thanksgiving. Although these activities have moved to the small field beneath the nearby well, the cross is visible from the road and is a poignant reminder of harder times.
