Lar Cassidy speaks of the involvement of art in the context of community development, Virginia House, lobbying Michael D Higgins as Minister for the Arts for more funding, the future evolution of the Arts Forum. Stanley Laing, Vice-Chairman of SDCC speaks, thanking the Arts Council. Dan O’Sullivan speaks of community involvement in the arts and expands on the career paths of some forum members, and congratulates all on the forum establishment. A girl, announced as “Jody” recites a poem “A Woman’s Work is Never Done”. Two teenagers from St. Kevin’s Drama Workshop perform a dialogue about waving at cars and commenting on passers-by. |
