In 2008, and again in 2010, South Dublin Libraries commissioned Maurice O’Keeffe of Irish Life and Lore to conduct over seventy interviews with people who live or work in South Dublin County, or who have connections to the area. The goal of the project was to create an oral history collection for South Dublin County by gathering the stories of a wide range of people with differing backgrounds so that a cross section of memories could be captured. The interviews that were collected are enlivened by the voices, knowledge, memories and experiences of local people in South Dublin County.
